Marcello Meldi obtained his PhD in Automotive Design and Technology in 2011 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He then moved to France where he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Institut d’Alembert in Paris and then at M2P2 in Marseille before being recruited as a Lecturer at ISAE-ENSMA in Poitiers in 2014. Marcello Meldi’s research interest is in the numerical simulation of turbulent flows. His work in this area aims at the realistic representation of turbulence by combining numerical techniques with sequential data-driven tools, such as the Kalman filter. He is involved in many projects in this area and has just been awarded a JCJC ANR grant in 2021 on “Improved prediction of near-wall flow by combining the submerged boundary method with data assimilation”.
Welcome to Marcello Meldi
