Subject: This internship is included is the thematic of active flow control applied to turbomachinery, especially for axial compressors of aircraft engines. This is a very active thematic in the laboratory, et promising results have been achieved in the framework of national 1 and European 2 research projects, demonstrating significant performance increase. Current strategies relied on pulsed jets and Coandă effect actuators, which are able to act as close as possible of the critical area inside the compressor (see description attached).
