Internship: Matched asymptotic expansions of the compressible Karman-Howarth equation and data validations in the incompressible case

Subject: The first aim of this internship is to study the equation governing energy transfers in compressible turbulence and attempt a matched asymptotic analysis of this equation in order to obtain intermediate asymptotic expressions for 2nd and 3d order structure functions. The second aim is to analyse experimental and/or computational data to verify results and assumptions of such an approach applied to incompressible turbulence.
